Ah the hellish 2024 is over, so how's it been for me?

(Idea stolen from Swee, sorry lol)

2024 was a quite eventful year, some describe it as 10 years in 1 year, others describe it as low taper fade. For me, this year pushed me to progress my technological knowledge.

  1. I switched to Linux.

After being fed up with an error when trying to download the MicroPython, I switched to Ubuntu. I loved it. I only switched back to windows a few months later because of game support. But then another few months later, in September/October I saw how gaming on Linux is improving and how the AI spyware on windows is improving too, so I crossed the border again, this time I’m staying. Right now I’m sitting on EndeavourOS with Xfce, but before I have also tried Manjaro (I broke it when I was partitioning disks lmao), MX Linux (flatpak was totally broken and wouldn’t work), and Arch Linux (too hard to install to be a permanent solution for me).

  1. I made my own website.

Right now, it’s currently not used, but I will soon because I’m working on a FlipperZero app ;). From now on, the website will host all my projects for the world to see, along with GitHub. Right now it only has 2 very simple projects: Fly Catcher, and Embeddio. But now, thou shalt learnt C for app development on FlipperZero.
And about FlipperZero,

  1. I got started with hacking (like real hacking).

Yes, you read that right, that hacking. The one that you see cool tech nerds in movies doing. But actually real. Firstly, I installed Kali Linux on a flash drive to temporarily boot from it when I want to to haxx0r stuff. Then, my brother got me a FlipperZero on my bday and Christmas :D. I explored it quite a bit, with my dolphin Ar1n4min, albeit virtual, I still like him.

Other things I’ve done:

  • Get into low-level, unmanaged languages
  • Get into Raspberry Pis
  • Start using open sauce for life
